Mike Parry (politician)
Mike Parry (born August 22, 1949) is an American politician and businessman from Waseca, Minnesota. He served as a Republican member of the Minnesota Senate, representing District 26 from 2007 to 2013.
Prior to his political career, Parry was a small business owner involved in the restaurant and hospitality industry. He owned and operated various establishments throughout southern Minnesota.
Parry's political career began at the local level, serving on the Waseca City Council. He then ran for and was elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives in 2002, representing District 26A for two terms.
In 2006, he successfully ran for the Minnesota Senate in District 26. During his time in the Senate, Parry served on various committees, including those focused on commerce, energy, and economic development. He was known for his fiscally conservative views and advocacy for small businesses.
Parry chose not to seek re-election in 2012. Following his departure from the Senate, he returned to the private sector. He has remained active in Republican Party politics and commentary.
