Comic Strip Live (TV series)

Comic Strip Live was an American stand-up comedy television series that aired on Fox from 1989 to 1994. The show featured a rotating cast of established and up-and-coming comedians performing short sets, typically 5-10 minutes in length. The program was notable for its late-night time slot and its often edgy and irreverent humor, pushing the boundaries of what was acceptable on network television at the time.

The show's format was similar to that of a live comedy club performance, with a host introducing each comedian. Early hosts included Joe Convy, followed by Larry Miller, and then later, different guest hosts each week. Comic Strip Live provided a platform for many comedians who would later become household names, and it helped to popularize alternative comedy styles.

While successful in its early years, Comic Strip Live faced competition from other late-night comedy shows and eventually saw its ratings decline. It was ultimately cancelled in 1994.
