Joe Guy (cricketer)
Joe Guy (born 26 January 1903, date of death unknown) was an English cricketer who played first-class cricket for Northamptonshire between 1923 and 1933.
Guy was a right-handed batsman and an occasional right-arm medium-pace bowler. Details of his early life and education are scarce. He made his debut for Northamptonshire in a single match in the 1923 season, but then did not appear again until 1927. From then on, he was a fairly regular member of the county side, though rarely a star.
He achieved his highest score of 88 against Derbyshire in 1928. In 1930, he made 85 against Essex. His bowling was infrequent; his best return was three wickets for 26 runs against Leicestershire in 1931.
Guy played his last first-class game in 1933 and appears to have then disappeared from cricket records. Further information on his career after 1933, his personal life, and the date of his death are currently unavailable.
