Vasily Kozlov (sculptor)

Vasily Vasilyevich Kozlov (born February 17, 1942, Moscow, died May 1, 2024, Moscow) was a prominent Russian sculptor, known for his monumental and figurative works. His style blended realistic representation with elements of modernism, often focusing on themes of history, mythology, and the human condition.

Kozlov graduated from the Moscow State Stroganov Academy of Industrial and Applied Arts (formerly the Stroganov School of Art) in 1966. He quickly established himself as a leading sculptor, receiving numerous commissions for public art installations throughout Russia and internationally.
