Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Thailand)
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of the Kingdom of Thailand (Thai: กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ, RTGS: Krasuang Kan Tang Prathet) is the government ministry responsible for Thailand's foreign relations. The ministry manages Thailand's diplomatic missions abroad, formulates and implements foreign policy, negotiates treaties and agreements, and represents Thailand in international organizations.
The MFA is headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, a cabinet-level appointment. The permanent secretary is the highest-ranking civil servant in the ministry and oversees the day-to-day operations.
The Ministry's main responsibilities include:
