Josh James (baseball)

Josh James (born July 8, 1993) is an American professional baseball pitcher who is currently a free agent.

James played college baseball at Western Oklahoma State College and East Central University. He was drafted by the Houston Astros in the 34th round of the 2014 Major League Baseball (MLB) draft.

James made his MLB debut with the Astros on September 1, 2018. He pitched for the Astros from 2018 to 2021. He was then traded to the New York Mets in 2021. He also pitched for the Atlanta Braves in 2022. Known for his high-velocity fastball, James has battled injuries throughout his professional career.
