Haynes King (American football)

Haynes King is an American football quarterback currently playing for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. He previously played for the Texas A&M Aggies.

King was a highly-rated recruit coming out of Longview High School in Longview, Texas. He was a four-star recruit and one of the top-ranked dual-threat quarterbacks in the nation.

He signed with Texas A&M and saw limited action in his freshman season in 2020. In 2021, he was named the starting quarterback for the Aggies but suffered a season-ending leg injury in the second game of the season. He regained the starting role in 2022, though his performance was inconsistent.

Following the 2022 season, King entered the NCAA transfer portal and committed to Georgia Tech. He was named the starting quarterback for the Yellow Jackets heading into the 2023 season.
