Pink (1989 manga)
Pink is a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Akira Toriyama. It was serialized in Fresh Jump magazine in 1989 and is a one-shot story collected in Toriyama's Manga Theater Volume 3.
The story follows Pink, a young woman living in a village devastated by a mysterious illness that has killed most of the men. In order to support her village, Pink hunts foxes and sells their pelts. However, these foxes are not ordinary animals; they are being used by a criminal organization to smuggle a valuable and dangerous substance. Pink inadvertently becomes entangled with the criminals and the authorities investigating them, leading to a humorous and action-packed adventure.
The manga is known for its lighthearted tone, slapstick humor, and Toriyama's signature art style, which is recognizable from his more famous works, such as Dragon Ball. While shorter and less widely known than Dragon Ball, Pink is considered a charming and entertaining example of Toriyama's versatility as a manga artist.
