André Azoulay

André Azoulay (born April 17, 1941) is a Moroccan Jewish senior advisor to King Mohammed VI of Morocco. He previously served in the same capacity to his father, King Hassan II. He is particularly known for his role in promoting economic development, cultural understanding, and interfaith dialogue within Morocco and internationally.

Azoulay hails from a family deeply rooted in Essaouira, Morocco. He studied economics and political science in Paris, France. Prior to his advisory roles within the Moroccan Royal Court, he held positions in the financial sector, including at the Banque de Paris et des Pays-Bas.

As an advisor to the King, Azoulay has been instrumental in shaping Morocco's economic policies, focusing on attracting foreign investment and fostering a more liberalized and globally integrated economy. He is also a strong advocate for education and cultural preservation, with a particular emphasis on promoting Morocco's diverse cultural heritage.
