Jonathan Leavitt (minister)

Jonathan Leavitt (1731-1802) was an American Congregational minister. He served as the pastor of the First Church of Christ in Heath, Massachusetts, from 1767 until his death in 1802. Leavitt was a graduate of Yale College (1758) and ordained on December 30, 1767. He was a prominent figure in the early history of Heath, playing a key role in the town's social and religious life. He married Sarah Hooker and had numerous children.
