Johnny Colt (film)

Johnny Colt is an Italian adventure film released in 1966. It is sometimes classified as a Spaghetti Western, although it incorporates elements of other genres. The film stars Montgomery Ford (real name Anthony Ghidra) as the titular character, Johnny Colt, a gunfighter who becomes embroiled in a plot involving stolen gold and a corrupt sheriff. Directed by Gianni Puccini, the film is also known under the alternative title The Man from Canyon City. The supporting cast includes Ettore Manni, Peter Carsten, and Franco Ressel. The film is noted for its action sequences and a Morricone-esque soundtrack composed by Riz Ortolani.
