Dirk Dier

Dirk Dier (born July 16, 1972) is a German former swimmer. He competed primarily in freestyle events.

Dier represented Germany at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, participating in the 4x100m and 4x200m freestyle relays. While he did not win any Olympic medals, he contributed to strong performances from the German team. He also competed in various European and international swimming championships.

After his competitive swimming career, Dier remained involved in sports, often appearing as a commentator or analyst for swimming events on German television. He is recognized within the German swimming community for his contributions to the sport.
