John White (Irish politician)
John White (born 1897, died 1967) was an Irish Fine Gael politician. He served as a Teachta Dála (TD) for County Wexford from 1948 to 1951 and again from 1954 to 1961.
White first entered Dáil Éireann at the 1948 general election, winning a seat in the Wexford constituency. He lost his seat at the 1951 general election. He regained a seat at the 1954 general election and continued to serve until losing his seat again at the 1961 general election.
Prior to his time in national politics, White was involved in local government. Details regarding his activities outside of his terms as a TD are scarce. He was a farmer. His electoral performance suggests he had a strong base of support in the Wexford area. His parliamentary contributions focused on agricultural issues.
