John Shairp (lawyer)

John Shairp was a Scottish lawyer and Sheriff-Substitute of Kinross-shire. He was admitted to the Faculty of Advocates in 1829 and served as Sheriff-Substitute from 1830 until his death. He was the brother of John Campbell Shairp, Principal of the United College of St Salvator and St Leonard in the University of St Andrews. He resided at Kirkbank, Kinross.
