John Proby (died 1762)

John Proby (died 22 January 1762) was an Irish politician. He was the Member of Parliament for County Wicklow from 1713 until his death.

Proby was the son of John Proby of Rahen, County Wicklow and his wife, Mary Le Hunte. He represented County Wicklow in the Irish House of Commons for nearly 50 years. He married Jane, daughter of Sir John Le Hunte. Their son, John Proby, also served as Member of Parliament for County Wicklow.
