John Parker (Irish judge)

John Parker (born 1946) is a retired judge of the High Court in Ireland. He was appointed to the High Court in 2003 and served until his retirement in 2016.

Prior to his appointment to the High Court, Parker was a barrister, specialising in commercial law. He was called to the Bar in 1969 and became a Senior Counsel in 1987.

During his tenure on the High Court, Parker presided over a range of significant cases, primarily in the areas of commercial and chancery law. He was known for his meticulous approach and thorough understanding of complex legal issues.

Since his retirement from the bench, Parker has remained active in legal circles, occasionally acting as an arbitrator and providing expert legal opinions.
