Big Brother 19 (American season)
Big Brother 19 is the nineteenth season of the American reality television series Big Brother. It aired on CBS from June 28, 2017, to September 20, 2017. The season featured a group of houseguests living together in a custom-built house, isolated from the outside world, constantly under video surveillance. The houseguests competed in challenges for power and safety, and voted each other out of the house. The last remaining houseguest won a grand prize of $500,000.
The season featured returning contestants from previous seasons, including Paul Abrahamian, who had previously been the runner-up on Big Brother 18. The season was marked by numerous controversies, including accusations of bullying, sexism, and racism among the houseguests. Production was also criticized for its handling of these issues.
The winner of Big Brother 19 was Josh Martinez, who defeated Paul Abrahamian in a 5-4 jury vote.
