John McKay (Northern Ireland politician)

John McKay is a Northern Irish politician. He served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for North Antrim from 2011 to 2017. McKay was a member of the Social Democratic and Labour Party (SDLP).

Before entering the Assembly, McKay was a councillor on Ballymoney Borough Council.

During his time in the Northern Ireland Assembly, McKay served on various committees, including the Committee for Agriculture and Rural Development.

In the 2017 Assembly election, McKay lost his seat. Following his departure from the Assembly, he has remained active in local politics and community initiatives.
