Michael English (American singer)

Michael English (born April 12, 1962) is an American Christian singer and musician. Initially gaining recognition as a member of the gospel music group, The Gaither Vocal Band, he later embarked on a successful solo career in contemporary Christian music.

English's solo career began in the late 1980s, and he quickly rose to prominence with a string of hit songs, including "Your Love Amazes Me," "In Christ Alone," and "Healing." He achieved significant success with his albums, earning multiple Dove Awards and Grammy Awards. His music is characterized by its contemporary sound and heartfelt lyrics exploring themes of faith, redemption, and hope.

Despite his musical accomplishments, English's career faced a significant setback in 1994 when details of an extramarital affair became public.
