Jimmy Dean (baseball)
Jimmy Dean (born James Patrick Dean on August 16, 1916, in Brownsville, Pennsylvania, died March 17, 1993, in Brownsville, Pennsylvania) was a right-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball who played for the St. Louis Browns in 1938.
Dean attended Duquesne University. He made his major league debut on September 18, 1938, at the age of 22, and played his final game on October 2, 1938. During his brief major league career, he appeared in three games, pitching a total of 5.1 innings. He had an earned run average (ERA) of 16.88 and recorded no wins or losses.
