Jim Miller (pitcher)

Jim Miller (born November 11, 1982) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Florida Marlins (2006-2007), Colorado Rockies (2008-2009), Baltimore Orioles (2010-2011), New York Yankees (2012), Oakland Athletics (2013), and Detroit Tigers (2014).

Miller attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he played college baseball. He was drafted by the Florida Marlins in the 35th round of the 2004 Major League Baseball draft.

Throughout his MLB career, Miller primarily served as a relief pitcher. He was known for his fastball, which reached the low-to-mid 90s. His career was marked by several stints with different teams, reflecting the nature of relief pitching in professional baseball. He had his most consistent seasons with the Baltimore Orioles. He retired from professional baseball after the 2014 season.
