Jim Brown (New South Wales politician)

Jim Brown was an Australian politician who served as a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly. He represented the electorate of Oxley from 1984 to 1996 for the National Party.

Brown was born in Wauchope, New South Wales. Prior to entering politics, he was a farmer and grazier.

During his time in parliament, Brown served on various committees and was known for his advocacy for rural and regional communities, particularly those involved in agriculture. He was a strong voice for the timber industry and issues affecting farmers in the Oxley electorate.

Brown retired from parliament at the 1996 state election.
