Paul Evans (footballer, born 1964)
Paul Evans (born 17 January 1964) is a Welsh former professional footballer who played as a defender.
Evans began his career as a youth player at Newport County before joining Coventry City in 1981. He remained with Coventry City for several years, primarily as a squad player, making a limited number of first-team appearances.
In 1987, Evans moved to Brentford. He became a regular in the Brentford side and was a key member of their defense for several seasons. He contributed to their promotion campaigns and established himself as a reliable and experienced player.
After leaving Brentford, Evans played for several other clubs in the lower leagues, including Swansea City and Hereford United. He concluded his professional career in the late 1990s.
Following his retirement from professional football, Evans remained involved in the sport at a local level.
