Cashan (Peru)

Cashan is an archaeological site located in the Ancash Region of Peru, specifically in the Santa Valley. It is a significant example of Recuay culture architecture and urban planning. The site is characterized by its distinctive use of monumental architecture, including platform mounds, sunken courts, and intricate stonework.

The Recuay culture flourished in the north-central highlands of Peru between approximately 200 BCE and 600 CE.
