Alan Brown (cricketer, born 1935)

Alan Brown (born 29 March 1935) is a former English cricketer who played first-class cricket for Northamptonshire between 1953 and 1966. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-pace bowler. Brown played in 198 first-class matches, scoring 4,590 runs at an average of 17.32 with a highest score of 100 not out. He took 323 wickets at an average of 32.99 with a best of 7 for 54. He also took 109 catches. After his cricket career ended, he remained involved in Northamptonshire cricket in various administrative roles.
