Arthur Dean (British politician)

Arthur Dean (born 11 September 1921, died 25 September 2003) was a British Labour Party politician. He served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Pontefract from 1955 to 1974. Before entering Parliament, he worked as a railway signalman. During his time in the House of Commons, he was known for his strong advocacy for working-class interests and his contributions to debates on transport and industrial relations. He lost his seat in the February 1974 general election to Geoffrey Lofthouse.
