Side by Side (TV series)
Side by Side is a British sitcom that aired on BBC1 from 1967 to 1968. Created by and starring Ronnie Barker and Ronnie Corbett, the series revolved around the comedic mishaps and rivalry between two neighboring antique shop owners, Ron and Ron. The show was written by a team of writers including Gerald Wiley (a pseudonym for Ronnie Barker himself), Marty Feldman, and Barry Took. Despite running for only two series, totaling 26 episodes, Side by Side is remembered for its strong comedic writing and the chemistry between Barker and Corbett, predating their more famous partnership in The Two Ronnies. The show featured recurring characters and situations, often stemming from the close proximity and competitive nature of the two antique shops.
