Jen Kish
Jen Kish (born July 7, 1988) is a Canadian retired rugby union player. She primarily played as a forward and captained the Canadian national women's rugby sevens team. Kish is widely recognized for her leadership, physicality, and passion for the sport.
Kish began playing rugby at the age of 17. She quickly rose through the ranks, earning a spot on the national sevens team. Under her captaincy, the Canadian team achieved significant success, including a silver medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. She was also part of the Canadian team that won a gold medal at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto.
Kish's career was marked by her powerful runs, tenacious tackling, and ability to inspire her teammates. Beyond her on-field contributions, she became a prominent advocate for equality and diversity in sports, speaking out about her experiences as an openly gay athlete.
