Jeans (band)
Jeans was a Mexican all-female pop group, active primarily from the mid-1990s to the mid-2000s. The group was initially formed in 1994 and underwent several lineup changes throughout its existence.
The original lineup consisted of Paty Sirvent, Angie Taddei, Litzy Vanya Domínguez Balderas, and Tábatha Vizuet. Litzy left the group early in their career to pursue a solo career. Subsequent members included Melissa Lopez, Karla Diaz-Leal Arreguin, Regina Murguia, Dulce Maria (briefly), and Valeria Maza.
Jeans achieved considerable popularity in Latin America with their teen-pop sound, releasing several albums and charting numerous singles. Their music was characterized by catchy melodies and lyrics aimed at a young audience. Some of their most well-known songs include "Pepe," "Enferma de Amor," and "Dime Que Me Amas."
The group officially disbanded in the mid-2000s. In recent years, there have been reunion tours featuring various former members, often performing under names such as JNS to avoid legal issues regarding the use of the Jeans name. These reunion concerts typically perform their classic hits for nostalgic fans.
