Jason Allen (politician)

Jason Allen (born December 31, 1963) is an American politician from the state of Michigan. He served as a Republican member of the Michigan House of Representatives from 1999 to 2002 and as a member of the Michigan State Senate from 2003 to 2006, representing the 35th district.

Allen's political career also includes an unsuccessful bid for the United States House of Representatives in 2006 for Michigan's 1st congressional district. He lost to Democrat Bart Stupak.

Prior to entering politics, Allen served in the United States Marine Corps. He is a graduate of Central Michigan University. Following his time in the Michigan legislature, Allen has remained active in political and public policy spheres.
