Jarno Elg

Jarno Elg (born October 23, 1975) is a Finnish computer scientist and entrepreneur. He is known for his contributions to the field of data compression, particularly in the development and standardization of the Lempel-Ziv-based LZ4 lossless compression algorithm. Elg is the primary author and maintainer of the LZ4 library, which is widely used in various applications and systems for its high speed and compression ratio. He is also involved in other open-source projects related to data storage and retrieval.
