Fu Yan (politician)

Fu Yan (傅巖, fl. 4th century CE) was a high-ranking official of the Jin dynasty (266–420) of China. He is best known for his role as a military leader and administrator in the northern territories of the Jin empire, particularly during the period of internal unrest and external threats from various nomadic groups.

Fu Yan's career began during the reign of Emperor Yuan of Jin (r. 317-323). He steadily rose through the ranks, demonstrating both military prowess and administrative capability.
