James Odongo (athlete)

James Odongo (born circa 1960s) is a Ugandan retired track and field athlete who specialized in the high jump.

Odongo represented Uganda in the high jump event at the 1987 World Championships in Athletics held in Rome, Italy. He did not qualify for the final.

He also competed in the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea, again in the high jump. He did not advance from his qualifying round.

Odongo's personal best in the high jump is 2.15 meters. Details of his career beyond these major international appearances are scarce.
