Voloshka
Voloshka (Волошка) is a Ukrainian word primarily referring to the cornflower, Centaurea cyanus. The term can also be used more generally to describe blue-flowered plants similar in appearance to the cornflower. Beyond its botanical meaning, "voloshka" can also carry cultural and symbolic significance within Ukrainian folklore and traditions, often associated with beauty, modesty, and remembrance. It is a popular motif in Ukrainian embroidery, songs, and poetry.
