Sam Roberts (journalist)
Sam Roberts is an American journalist, author, and obituaries reporter for The New York Times.
Roberts joined The New York Times in 1985. He has served in various roles, including Urban Affairs columnist and City Editor. His "Metro Matters" column covered urban issues, politics, and trends in New York City.
Beyond his journalistic work, Roberts has authored several books, including Who We Are Now: The Changing Face of America in the Twenty-First Century, which examines demographic shifts in the United States, and New York, Promised Land: The Jews of New York.
