Henk Grol
Henk Grol (born April 14, 1985, in Veendam) is a retired Dutch judoka. He competed in the heavyweight (-100 kg) division.
Grol is a multiple-time European champion, having won the title in 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2013. He also earned a bronze medal at the 2009 World Judo Championships and a silver medal at the 2010 World Judo Championships.
He represented the Netherlands at the Olympic Games four times: Beijing 2008, London 2012, Rio 2016, and Tokyo 2020. He won bronze medals at both the Beijing 2008 and London 2012 Olympics.
Grol is known for his powerful style and aggressive techniques. He is considered one of the most successful Dutch judokas of all time. After a successful career, he officially retired from competitive judo in 2021.
