Jagat Singh (politician)

Jagat Singh (born circa 1945, died 2013) was an Indian politician belonging to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He was a Member of Parliament, representing Rajasthan in the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Indian Parliament. He served in the Rajya Sabha for two terms, from 1992 to 1998 and from 1998 to 2004. He was known for his work in rural development and social justice issues in Rajasthan. Further details regarding his specific legislative contributions and political career are limited but he remained a figure of note within the Rajasthan BJP during his active political years. He was the son of Maharani Gayatri Devi and Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II, the last ruling Maharaja of Jaipur. He was also the brother of late Maharaja Bhawani Singh of Jaipur.
