Alan Carr

Alan Carr (born 14 June 1976) is an English comedian, writer, and television personality. He is best known for hosting the comedy chat show Alan Carr: Chatty Man, which aired on Channel 4 from 2009 to 2016, and its subsequent version Alan Carr's Chatty Man which aired until 2018.

Carr's comedy is characterized by his flamboyant persona, witty observations, and self-deprecating humor. He often discusses his experiences growing up gay in Northampton.

Prior to his television success, Carr was a stand-up comedian, performing at comedy clubs across the UK. He has also hosted numerous television shows, including The Friday Night Project (later The Sunday Night Project), 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, and RuPaul's Drag Race UK. He has also appeared as a judge on Interior Design Masters with Alan Carr.

Carr has won several awards for his comedy and television work, including a British Comedy Award and a National Television Award. He is also the author of two autobiographies, Look Who It Is! and Alanatomy.
