David Kelly (association footballer)

David Kelly (born November 25, 1965) is an Irish former professional footballer and manager.

Kelly played as a striker during his career, notably in the Premier League for Newcastle United, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Sheffield United. He also played for Walsall, West Ham United, Leicester City, Tranmere Rovers, Motherwell and Mansfield Town.

Kelly earned 26 caps for the Republic of Ireland national football team, scoring nine goals. He was a member of the Irish squad that participated in the 1990 FIFA World Cup and the 1994 FIFA World Cup.

Following his playing career, Kelly moved into coaching and management. He has held coaching positions at various clubs and served as manager of Derry City.
