Alias (album)

Alias is the self-titled debut album by the Canadian-American rock band Alias, released in 1990. The band was formed by Freddy Curci and Steve DeMarchi, both formerly of the Canadian rock band Sheriff, and featured members of Heart and Foreigner.

The album spawned the hit single "More Than Words Can Say," a power ballad that reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Other notable tracks included "Waiting for You," "Haunted Heart," and "Say What I Gotta Say."

While Alias achieved moderate commercial success, it failed to sustain the band's popularity beyond the initial single. The album is considered a prime example of late 1980s/early 1990s melodic rock and AOR (album-oriented rock). It was produced by Bruce Fairbairn, known for his work with Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, and Loverboy. The album artwork features a stylized band logo against a dark background. After the album's release, Alias toured in support of other bands, but disbanded shortly after, making this their only studio album.
