Satlok
Satlok (also spelled Sat Lok, Satyaloka, or Sach Khand) is a term used in various Indian religious and spiritual traditions, particularly those derived from Sant Mat (the Path of the Saints). It refers to the eternal, true, and imperishable realm, often considered the highest spiritual plane and the ultimate destination of the soul.
Within these traditions, Satlok is described as the abode of the Supreme Being, also often referred to as Sat Purush or the True Eternal Being. It is a realm of pure consciousness, bliss, and truth, free from suffering, death, and the limitations of the material world. The soul, having transcended the lower realms of mind and matter through spiritual practices such as meditation on the divine sound current (Shabd), merges with the Supreme Being in Satlok, achieving liberation and eternal union.
The concept of Satlok varies somewhat across different Sant Mat lineages and related traditions, but the core meaning remains consistent: it represents the highest spiritual attainment and the eternal home of the soul. Access to Satlok is generally understood to require the grace of a true spiritual Master (Satguru) and diligent practice of the prescribed spiritual disciplines.
