Jacques Landry (ski jumper)
Jacques Landry (born January 29, 1969, in Shawinigan, Quebec) is a Canadian former ski jumper. He competed in the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville, France, participating in both the individual normal hill and large hill events, as well as the team event. Landry did not win any medals in these Olympics.
Landry’s ski jumping career also included participation in World Cup competitions. He achieved a career-best World Cup result of 15th place in Falun, Sweden, in 1991. He represented Canada at several World Championships, contributing to the national team’s efforts.
Following his competitive career, Landry transitioned into sports administration. He held positions within the Canadian Olympic Committee and Cycling Canada, demonstrating a continued commitment to Canadian sport. His roles focused on high-performance athlete development and management. He has also served as a consultant in the sports sector.
