Jack Kramer (footballer)
Jack Kramer (born July 29, 1961) is a former American football placekicker who played in the National Football League (NFL) for the New Orleans Saints and the Detroit Lions.
Kramer played college football at Boise State University. He was originally drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the 12th round (310th overall) of the 1984 NFL Draft, but he was cut before the season began. He then signed with the New Orleans Saints, where he played from 1984 to 1987. With the Saints, he was primarily a kickoff specialist and backup kicker.
In 1988, Kramer joined the Detroit Lions, where he served as their primary placekicker. He played for the Lions for two seasons, 1988 and 1989. His career statistics include a field goal percentage of approximately 65%. After his NFL career, Kramer worked in various business ventures.
