Sam Patterson (footballer)

Sam Patterson is a professional Australian rules footballer who plays for the Richmond Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was drafted by Richmond with pick 52 in the 2020 AFL draft. Patterson is a defender, known for his intercept marking and ability to read the play. He made his AFL debut in Round 1, 2022 against Carlton. Prior to being drafted, Patterson played for the Northern Knights in the NAB League and also represented Vic Metro.
