Ivo Linna
Ivo Linna (born 12 June 1949) is an Estonian singer. He is one of Estonia's most well-known and beloved male vocalists, with a career spanning several decades.
Linna is known for his distinctive voice and versatile singing style, encompassing rock, pop, and folk influences. He has performed with several bands throughout his career, including Apelsin (Orange), one of Estonia's most popular groups of the Soviet era.
Ivo Linna represented Estonia in the Eurovision Song Contest twice. The first time was in 1996, alongside Maarja-Liis Ilus, with the song "Kaelakee Hääl" ("The Sound of a Necklace"), which achieved a respectable fifth-place finish. He also participated in the 1998 contest with the song "Maailm Valgeks Loodud" ("World Created White"), finishing twelfth.
Beyond Eurovision, Linna has released numerous albums and singles, earning critical acclaim and widespread popularity in Estonia. He has also been involved in television and stage productions.
