Irene Ng (politician)

Irene Ng Phek Hoong (born c. 1963) is a Singaporean former politician and businesswoman. She served as a Member of Parliament (MP) for Tampines Group Representation Constituency (GRC) from 2001 to 2011, and for Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC from 2011 to 2015, representing the People's Action Party (PAP).

Prior to entering politics, Ng had a career in the technology sector, working for IBM.

During her parliamentary career, Ng served on various Government Parliamentary Committees (GPCs), focusing on areas such as manpower, education, and communications and information. She was known for her focus on issues related to families, youth, and social mobility.

Ng did not contest the 2015 general election. After leaving politics, she returned to the private sector and has been involved in various initiatives related to education and technology.
