Iphidamas

Iphidamas was a Trojan warrior mentioned in Homer's Iliad. He was a son of Antenor and Theano, and thus a brother to numerous other Trojan warriors including Coon, Agenor, and Polydamas. Iphidamas was raised in Thrace by his maternal grandfather, Cisseus, who sought to delay his military service. Upon reaching adulthood, Iphidamas returned to Troy, bringing with him twelve curved ships.

He is described as brave and strong. In Book XI of the Iliad, Iphidamas confronts Agamemnon on the battlefield. After an initial failed attempt to spear Agamemnon, Iphidamas is killed by the Achaean leader, though not before briefly wounding him. Agamemnon, after retrieving his spear, swiftly ends Iphidamas' life and strips him of his armor, leaving his body on the field.
