Ilévia
Ilévia is the name of the public transportation network serving the European Metropolis of Lille (Métropole Européenne de Lille, MEL) in northern France. It encompasses a variety of modes, including:
- Metro: A fully automated VAL (Véhicule Automatique Léger) system with two lines.
- Tram: Two tram lines connecting Lille with Roubaix and Tourcoing.
- Bus: An extensive bus network covering the entire metropolitan area.
- V'Lille: A bicycle sharing system.
Ilévia also manages parking facilities and provides information and ticketing services for the entire network. The system is operated by Transpole, a subsidiary of Keolis. Ilévia aims to provide accessible and sustainable transportation options for residents and visitors within the MEL.
