Guaita
Guaita is one of the three towers overlooking the city of San Marino, the capital of the Republic of San Marino. Located on Monte Titano, it is the oldest of the three towers, having been constructed in the 11th century. It also served as a prison for a time. Guaita is the most famous of the towers and a popular tourist attraction. The tower offers views of the surrounding countryside and Adriatic Sea. It is featured on the Sammarinese version of the 10-cent Euro coin.
