The film explores themes of isolation, communication barriers, and the dangers of unleashing the unknown. Initial reviews were generally negative, with criticism directed toward the predictable plot and reliance on jump scares. However, the performance of the deaf actors, particularly in conveying fear and vulnerability, was often noted.
